About the Book:
Foodie phenomenon Brown is a great cook, a very funny guy, and--underneath it all--a science geek who's as interested in the chemistry of cooking as he is in eating. This edition, the first in a two-volume series, provides an unexpurgated record of his long-running, award-winning Food Network TV series, "Good Eats."
Interspersed between detailed descriptions of the aired episodes are remembrances from the production of the show, updated recipes based on what was seen in each episode, and lots of behind-the-scenes production notes. All accompanied by an incredible number of photographs and illustrations.
If you are a fan of Alton Brown's quirky, humorous approach to food science, you won't want to miss this volume!

Reader Comments:
I love Alton Brown and his Food Network Shows! It's too bad there's not a book out to tie into his Eating on Asphalt series. I particularly enjoyed this Good Eats retrospective...it's great to revisit some of my favorite episodes with glimpses into the production of those memorable moments. I look forward to the follow-up volume. -- Janice K. patron of Gere Branch Library.
